Perinatal care.
Committed support through the birthing season.
Take Care.
Whether for the first or the fourth time, families moving through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum benefit from support. Doulas are a resource of support. And the doula for you is someone with whom you feel a sense of trust and confidence.
I offer emotional, physical, and informational support to families in the perinatal season. A burden shared is lightened, a joy shared is multiplied. As a trained professional and a dedicated witness, I will show up for you as you are. I will notice a need, remind you that you matter, affirm that your experience is valid, and be honored to share a piece of it with you.
Client centered care: support prioritizes the birthing person, includes and uplifts partners.

“ Malena is everything I hoped for as a doula. She is compassionate, supportive, proactive, a great listener, focused and just a joy to be around. Malena is also very knowledgeable and continuously learning. She was amazing at doing more research to answer questions that were not so straightforward to ensure I had up to date information. Malena contributed so much positive energy, she helped create the atmosphere at the birthing center and really went above and beyond with so much attention to details. ” Ella Dagan
“ I had the pleasure of working with Malena, I can’t recommend her enough! She was so attentive and supportive for me and my family. She has the calmest nature to her which just made the whole experience even better, making me feel so cared for and comfortable! ” Kiera Livingston
“It was really important for us to understand every decision being made,” Beltran said. “Our nurses worked in perfect harmony with our doula, Malena Sweers, to spin the baby out of a sunny-side-up position, which can make labor much harder. They calmly communicated everything they were doing, even in the most intense moments.” https://www.sutterhealth.org/patient-stories/santa-cruz-sets-state-standard-for-low-c-sections-2095843473
