Care services for home or hospital births include:
Two office meetings set aside to review birth options and preferences, discuss both natural and medical pain management strategies, and prepare for postpartum. While there is a plan for elements to cover together that will help set you up well for birth, these sessions are built around addressing your specific concerns and excitements. Catered toward what will make you feel prepared and cared for.
Access to personal local referrals and go-to’s of evidence-based educational sources.
Once the contract is signed, I am on call 24/7 to reach out to if signs of labor appear anytime or specific concerns come up.
Before Birth
Physical presence and support, Psychological/emotional support, educated informational support
Labor support via call, facetime, and in-person
Advocacy of your birth preferences with medical staff and helping you understand procedures
During Labor
Postpartum
Two 1-2hr home visits (first in 1st week out, second approx 1 month out) for initial lactation and emotional support, debriefing the birth experience, and helping source any additional care needed for baby or parent(s).
Optional up to 120 minute phone call anytime wanted within 1 calendar year of birth to reflect on birth experience after body has had more time to heal and reflect.
Additional Postpartum visits - type of care catered to individual needs (hourly rate)
Birth Debrief - 2hr in person (preferred), phone or zoom. For those who did not utilize doula support through birth but want an external unbiased listener to reflect on the birthing experience with you and/or partner.
