Three meetings to gather and touch base with one another. A very basic overview of these meetings includes: discussing birth options and preferences, both natural and medical pain management strategies, and preparation for the season after birth, also known as postpartum. While I prepare questions and information to guide the time, I build these sessions around addressing your specific concerns and excitements. The meetings also simply provide us with time to become comfortable with each other!

Referrals to local perinatal practitioners and recommendations for evidence-based educational sources.
Once the contract is signed, I am reachable 24/7 if signs of labor appear or specific concerns come up.
I check in weekly once the birthing parent reaches 36wks gestation. We review pre-labor and early-labor signs and symptoms and I reflect with you (over the phone) when you start to notice them. When you are ready for support during established labor, I join.

I am with you, I show up either at the hospital or home as discussed and give you my undivided attention. I remind you of the tools you have to use.
Facilitate a quiet, cozy, warm, safe environment.
Provide physical support with purposeful touch, massage, counterpressure, hip releases. I may offer and guide you through position changes to encourage labor progress and comfort.
Keep a record of labor shifts so you have birth notes to refer to after if you want them.
Provide grounded emotional support and sensitivity for anyone present in the birthing space, especially the birthing person and their partners, extends to other care providers too.
Support the information sharing process from care providers.

Postpartum planning during prenatals
